In Loving Memory
December 3, 1946 – April 28, 2017
Joseph R. Nanni, age 70, of Fairhope, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 28, 2017. Mr. Nanni was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was medically retired from Catepillar in 2000. He attended Valley Forge High School in Parma, OH and had been a resident of Baldwin County for the past seven years. No one could match his sense of humor or his ability to repair and fix diesel engines. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Sarah Ali Nanni.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Eloise E. Stefan Nanni; his brother, William Nanni, his mother-in-law Loretta A Stefan, brother-in-law of John Stefan (Renee’) children, Yvonne M. (Pat) Ehlert, Robyn L. (Dave) Hershberger, Michel L. Nanni (Todd) Nash, Rocco A. (Stephanie) Nanni, Joseph J. (Meghan) Nanni and Guido. His grandchildren include Bryanna, Kiaira, Jessica, Henry, Josephene’, Kayla, Patrick, Carmela, Rocco, Stella and D.O.G. and other relatives and friends. He was the cherished godchild of Nancy Harris Martincic.
A Memorial Mass to honor the life of Joe will be at 11 am on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am. Fr. Steve Williams will celebrate the mass. His remains will be inurned at a later time in Cleveland. Expressions of condolence for the family may be made at www.hughesfh.com.
