Maynard Keith “Pat” Peckham, 88, longtime resident of Robertsdale, AL, passed away, Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was born on October 28, 1928 in Racine, WI to Rev. James Keith Peckham and Verna Jean Davis. Pat was a veteran of the US Navy.
Pat and his wife, Loretta were married in 1953 and moved to Robertsdale in 1972, working for the US Postal Service for over thirty years until he retired. He was a man who set an example for so many, one who loved His Lord and always put Him first in everything he did and looked forward so much to having daily devotions together with Loretta. Spending time with his family, enjoying a good game of Yahtzee, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football were what made him happy. He is predeceased by his brother, Charles W. Peckham and his sisters, Crystal Peckham and Genevieve Flowers.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of nearly sixty-five years, Loretta Byrd Peckham, of Robertsdale; one daughter, Charlene (Barry) Ryan, Elsanor, AL; two sons, Richard “Ricky” (Patty) Peckham, Mobile and Donald (Ferah) Peckham, Fort Walton, Beach, FL and his sister, Beatrice (Wally) Jewett, Janesville, WI. Also surviving are his beloved 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church, 22250 US Highway 90 in Robertsdale. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Lowery.
