In Loving Memory
August 7, 1961 – November 29, 2017
Nathan “Nate” Langford, 56, born in Birmingham, AL, and a resident of Mobile, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2017. He grew up in Gainesville, FL, the son of a pastor, and graduated from Bay High School of Panama City, FL in 1979. In youth he excelled as an athlete and attended Mississippi College on athletic scholarship. Nate was passionate about gardening and architecture. To say he was artistic would be an understatement, as he had a flair and talent for creativity and design.
Nate was active in the gay community as a Christian leader. He freely gave his emotional support to persons marginalized by society, having studied counseling at Baptist College of Florida. Nate was one of those who would light up the room anywhere he went with his cheerful and charismatic personality. Most importantly, he loved his Lord and continued to trust Him throughout his life. He is predeceased by his parents, Rev. N. B. Langford, Jr and Nancy Underwood Langford. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Siemers of Las Vegas, NV and numerous other relatives and friends.
A visitation to celebrate Nathan’s life will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home, 7951 American Way in Daphne, 36526.
