Janet O’Flynn, 79, died peacefully at home, Thursday, February, 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. O’Flynn was born in New Orleans, and had been a resident of Spanish Fort, AL for the past 30 years. She loved to cook New Orleans style dishes and was an avid cookbook collector. Janet was a loving wife, mother and grand and great grandmother. She is predeceased by her parents, Randolph Holliday and Ruth Rogers Holliday, her brother, Gerald Randolph Holliday, her sister, Mary Ruth Feraci and by her youngest daughter, Maureen O’Flynn Shamloo.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Tim O’Flynn; daughter, Laurie (Joey) Wiggins of Bay Minette; son, Edward Timothy (Tracey) O’Flynn of Gautier, MS; sister, Lennie Ann (Wayne) Wilson and brother, David H. Holliday both of Pace, FL. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Amanda O’Flynn, Karly Vilborg, Donnovan Shamloo, Hunter O’Flynn, Raun Wiggins and Haley O’Flynn and 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 10:00 am until the 11:30 am funeral service. Burial will be at 12:30 pm at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Janet’s memory to the Salvation Army, Catholic Social Services or any Autism organization.
