Mark Tully King, 55, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Mark was a talented carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a sweet man with a goofy spirit and a fun loving personality. He always liked to put a smile on people’s faces. Mark enjoyed being in the outdoors, loved to hunt deer and collected antique coins, bottles and knives. He was married for nearly 37 years and always thought his family was the apple of his eye. Mark was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tully King and his sister, Robin King.
Mark is survived by his wife, Daphne “Dee Dee” King of Stapleton, AL; mother, Sylvia “Sally” (Sammy) Bennett of Robertsdale, AL; two daughters, Darla (Cacey) Coleman of Robertsdale, AL and Amber (Adam) Helton of Loxley, AL; two brothers, Greg (Patty) King of Loxley, AL and David King of Robertsdale, AL; one sister, Rachel (Leland) Mitchell of Silverhill, AL; three grandchildren, Jada Coleman, Sophie Helton and Sadie Helton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Stapleton United Methodist Church, 35440 Harriot Ave., Stapleton, AL, 36578. The family will receive friends at 10:00am and Rev. Wally Melton will be officiating. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com.
