Mrs. Elouise Thomas Johnson was born on February 12th, 1932 a resident of Fairhope, AL. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 18th, 2018 in the comforts of her home. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Detroit, MI for over 20 yrs. where she was a member of the Faithful Few and participated in many outreach programs. led by Father Thomas. She retired from Holbrook Credit Union where she worked as a Loan Officer for 25 yrs. Elouise enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Upon her return to Fairhope, Al. she became a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Carrie (Williams) Bass; sisters, Majorie Bass Harris of Mobile, Al. and Wilena Richardson of CA., and brother, Jesse Bass of Detroit, MI.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories husband, Ernest Johnson; one son, Alfred Thomas Jr.; one step son, LaBreace Watts; 4 step daughters, Jennifer Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Krystal Johnson, and Adrian Johnson; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Bass (Edna) and Bobby Bass (Mynell); one sister, Carrie Parker (Lawrence); good friends, Sister Julie Gutlet and Mr. Dennis Clark and host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 S. Section Street, Fairhope, AL, 36532. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM and Fr. Andrew Toyinbo will be officiating the service. Expressions of condolence may be offered at hughesfh.com.
