In Loving Memory
August 2, 1951 – June 4, 2018
Jane McClure Blaum, a resident of Daphne, Alabama, passed away on June 4, 2018. Jane finished high school at Mountain Brook. She graduated summa cum laude at Birmingham Southern College, where she was also president of her Alpha Omicron Pi chapter. Jane practiced as a CPA and returned to medical school graduating from The University of Alabama School of Medicine with honors. She practiced dermatology in the Fairhope and Daphne communities for twenty-five years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, M. Scott and Margaret J. McClure of Birmingham, Alabama. Jane is survived by her husband, Bruce, of 47 years and by her siblings, Scott McClure, (Ann), from Colorado Springs, Colorado; John McClure (Annie), from Nashville, Tennessee; Marian McClure Taylor (Stephen), from Shelbyville, Kentucky; Melissa McClure (Andre), from Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews.
Jane deeply loved her faith, her husband and best friend, her family and friends. She had a special commitment to her profession and to her community that she loved so much. She enjoyed traveling to the Eastern Tennessee Mountains, gardening, and had a special love for her pets. She grew up in church choirs and loved singing. As a soprano with the Eastern Shore Choral Society, she sponsored vocal study scholarships for high school students. Jane was a true friend to all those who knew her and will be forever missed.
