In Loving Memory
September 17, 1948 – August 6, 2018
Mobile, AL
A loving husband, father, brother, Papa, confidant, and loyal friend, Paul William Zeller, Esq. will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Paul died on Monday, August 6th, 2018 at the age of 69. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Mausoleum in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Mobile Alabama.
The things that brought Paul the most joy in his life were his family and friends, watching football games with his children, being a Papa to his grandkids, keeping his loving and patient wife on her toes, and Blue Belle Ice Cream. The world will not be the same without his humor and love.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 and a half years, Marlene Parrillo Zeller; their sons, Paul Zeller, Jr. and his partner, Beth, John Rios, Jonathan Zeller and his wife, Marie, Joshua Zeller and his wife, Elaina; their daughter, Amanda Gruber (Zeller) and her husband, Adam; his brother, Al Zeller and his wife, Patricia; his two step sisters, Rose Boudreaux Hawkins and her husband, Garney, Mary Lou Boudreaux Techman and her husband, John; and his eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Margaret Zeller, and his grandson, William Zeller.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be sent to Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) or University of Virginia School of Law. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.hughesfh.com. Hughes Funeral Home in Daphne is assisting the family.
Marlene, I’m so very sorry to hear of your loss….I have never met Paul, but remember your mom speaking of him very highly…..Please except my sympathies for your loss
Paul was one of the very best securities lawyers I have ever known. But far beyond that, he was a kind and thoughtful soul, a decent and generous person, and a partner to be cherished. I will miss him greatly, as will all whose privilege it was to work with him.
I had the good fortune to work with Paul for several years. He was always respectful, tolerant of my miscues, professional and erudite. Afterwards we would pursue lottery jackpots together, always aspiring but his ultimate jackpot was his family, to them my deepest condolences.
Our world will never be the same without you….i love you and miss you so much dad you were the best one ever
