In Loving Memory

James (Jim) Anderson, a native of Quitman, Mississippi and a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 79. He was a loving husband, father, “PawPaw”, and brother.

Jim served in the United States Marine Corps, and afterwards was employed with Kimberly Clark (formerly Scott Paper Company) where he retired after 36 years.

He was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Spanish Fort, Alabama where he attended regularly as long as his health permitted. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends as long as he was able.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dorothy Anderson,2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years,Barbara; his daughters Pamela Hughes and Tammy Dennis (Russell); his grandchildren Lindsey Hughes, Jason Hughes (Nicole), Kaitlyn Eberly(Rob), Rebekah Dennis, and Daniel Dennis; 5 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild, 2 sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Providence United Methodist Church at 1:30 PM with a visitation prior to the service beginning at 12:30 PM.  Interment will be at 2:30 PM following the service at Alabama State Veterans Cemetery.
