Carolyn was born in Montgomery and moved to Fairhope with her family at age fifteen.  She later married John and moved to Foley where she worked at the Brunson Net Shop while John worked next door at the Foley Fish Company, which was founded by John’s dad.  Carolyn was active in many community interests, including the Foley Civic League and Saint Margaret’s Church.  She and John later owned the Balloonacy Gift Shop in Gulf Shores where she was known by customers all over the country as “Miss Moley from Foley” and “The Tie Dye Queen”.  Carolyn had a gift of making people feel welcome and she truly never met a stranger.  She was a talented artist who loved to paint.  She was an animal lover and loved gardening.  She was an amazing cook and loved to bake and decorate some beautiful, and sometimes unusual cakes.  She was an incredible seamstress and always said her clothes were just as beautiful on the inside as they were on the outside.  She took great pleasure in making people happy and loved to make people laugh.  She loved people and so many people loved her.  She will be greatly missed.
