Tonya Williams Nuckolls, a native of Mobile and resident of Daphne, went home to be with her Lord at her home, surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the age of 59.

Tonya was a dedicated employee for many years at J&J Furniture and for 8 ½ years at Tameron Honda.  She was a member of Church of His Presence and loved her church family dearly.  Always happy, and very outgoing, Tonya was blessed with many wonderful friends.  Tonya loved to shop and enjoyed a bowl of Blue Bell vanilla ice-cream every chance she got.  She had a special love for her sisters and they had a very special bond.  Tonya adored her family, and they adored her too.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Peggy McCann Mobley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Michael Nuckolls; her son, Christopher Michael Nuckolls of Daphne,  and her step-daughter, Charity Carnes (John) of Pensacola;  her father and step-mother, Walter Eugene Williams (Glenda);  grandchildren, Jonathon Carnes and Grace Carnes of Pensacola;  her sisters, Donna Mobley Shirah (Bryan) of Dothan, and Jennifer Mobley Barkley of Mobile, Suzy Roche of Australia, and Toni Sano of California; her brother Jeff Williams of South Carolina and her brother-in-law, Stuart Nuckolls (Shirley); three sisters-in-law,  Cheryl Baker (Ed), Pamela Richards (Steve) and Yvonne Davison, all of Hannahan, South Carolina; along with many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Tonya’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Church of His Presence, 24142 Highway 181, Daphne, AL.  The family will receive friends for a time before the service beginning at 10 AM.
