In Loving Memory

June 20, 1925 – February 16, 2019

Bennie Allen, 93 was called to Heaven on Saturday, February 16, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 20, 1925 and was a resident of Mobile, AL.  

Bennie was a member of Crichton Church of God for many years. He served in the Army in World War II from 1942 – 1946.  He retired from from Teledyne Contential Motors in 1986.

Bennie is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margie Allen; his children, Mildred Allen Biggs (Willie Biggs) and Kevin Allen; four grandchildren, Christopher Eagleson (Tammy Eagleson), Derrick Eagleson (Tammy Eagleson), Whitney Allen Headley (Jordan Headley) and Lexi Allen; six great-grandchildren, Christian Eagleson (Jennifer Eagleson), Cameron Eagleson, Grey Eagleson, Ian Eagleson, Alexander Eagleson and Harper Rose Headley.  Also survived by four brothers, Darrell Allen, Bobby Allen, Jack Allen and Jerry Allen; and two sisters, Ruth Allen Rathliff and Esther Rutz; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2019 at City Hope Church, 29964 Saint Basil Street in Daphne.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, at City Hope Church with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Taylor and Rev. Jerry Hewett.  Pallbearers will be:  Christian Eagleson, Cameron Eagleson, Alexander Eagleson, Jordan Headley, Drew Allen and Cody Allen  Interment will follow at Pine Rest Cemetery, Foley, AL.
