Thursday, August 30, 1956 – Wednesday, December 25, 2019
Joel “Wayne” Cadenhead, 63, of Loxley, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019. He was born August 30, 1956 in Pensacola, FL to Jewel Alten Cadenhead and Hazel Mae Jones.
Wayne served as MP for four years in the Army stationed at Ft. Bliss, TX and served one year in Korea. He retired in May 2019 from the Daphne Police Department as Communications Officer. In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed woodworking in his “piddling” house, oil painting, and watching football with his stepson, Warren. He was an avid student of the Bible and shared his faith with anyone who would listen. Wayne had a very special love for his Lord, his family, and especially the love of his life, Joyce.
Wayne is survived by his bride of 26 years, Joyce Cadenhead; three sisters, Joyce (Ron) Blum, Carol (Dwayne) Ashmore and Janice Cadenhead; two stepsons, Warren and Wade Fillmore; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A special thanks to Peggy and Uennetta and the Daphne Police Department, as well as Robin and all the nurses at Kindred Hospice.
