In Loving Memory
April 5, 1952 – March 18, 2020
Deborah Rachael Crigler, a native of Vicksburg, MS and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the age of 67.
Deborah was a retired pre-school director from Old Spanish Fort Baptist Church. She was the originator and co-owner of Camellia Café of Daphne, AL. She was the greatest wife, mother and Momsy anyone could ever ask for. Debbie was first diagnosed with cancer in 2000 but her faith in the Lord and determined spirit would not allow her to give in to it. She was referred to as a miracle many times by doctors and friends. She chose joy over sorrow and victory over defeat. Because of that, she was able to live a fulfilled life and beautifully inspire the lives of so many others.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin F. Curtis and Mavis Christine Curtis.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Crigler; children, Emily (Marty) Smith of Fairhope, AL, Meredith Crigler of Daphne, AL and Robbie (Sarah) Crigler of Spanish Fort, AL; seven grandchildren, Halle Smith, Max Smith, Mavi Smith, Allie Crigler, Landon Crigler, Libby Mae Crigler, Charley Rose Crigler; three brothers, Gus, Melvin and Donnie; two sisters, Mary and Alice; four grandpups, who she loved, Ruthie, Millie, Baby Ruth and Posie; along with other family members and friends.
There will be a celebration of life service held at Smeraglia’s Chapel Barn, 21399 Farmer Lane in Robertsdale, AL, on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM.
