In Loving Memory

March 30, 1939 – August 5, 2020

 

Sara Frances Harrington McBride, born March 30, 1939 in Harpersville, AL, and a resident of Daphne, AL, passed away August 5, 2020 at the age of 81.

Sara married Cecil McBride on September 4, 1956.  They spent numerous years traveling together and settled in Wilsonville, AL and lived there until moving to Daphne in 1997.  Her passion was her yard and growing beautiful flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil; her parents, Sara Jane and Oran Franklin Harrington; siblings, Helen Doris Hartley, Thomas Harrington, Alice Harrington, Horace Harrington, Grade Harrington, Annie Frankie Raines and Kenneth Harrington.

Sara is survived by one daughter, Kathy Sudduth (Darrell) of Spanish Fort; two grandsons, Wesley Sudduth (Caitlin) and Taylor Sudduth; two great-grandsons, Claiburn and Henry Sudduth; siblings, Jewel Gibbs of Anniston, AL, Mary Elizabeth Henry of Sylacauga, AL, Oran (Ruth) Franklin Harrington, Jr. of Wilsonville, AL and Emma Whitten of Montevallo, AL; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.

A graveside service will be held at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery, Wilsonville, AL on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11:00 AM.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Sudduth, Wesley Sudduth, Taylor Sudduth, Dennis Sudduth, Cory Sudduth and Kyle Sudduth.

In lieu of flowers the family would ask that memorial donations be made to Springhill Hospice of Baldwin County or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to Springhill Home Health and Hospice for the care given to Mrs. McBride during her illness.  Also thank you to her caregivers, Kayla Dean, Regina Davis, Cynthia Mims, Joyce Taylor and Haylee Wolters.
