In Loving Memory

August 5, 1952 – January 3, 2021

 

 

Mitchell Edell Walters, Sr., a native of Mobile, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Mitchell worked for GAF in the maintenance department for 32 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Debra Joy Clark Walters; parents, Eugene Walters and Vera Kountz Walters; brother, Eugene Walters and sister, Barbara Carter.

Mitchell is survived by his children, Mitchell Walters, Jr. (Christina) of Spanish Fort, AL, and Terra Hallmark (Jon) of New Caney, TX; grandchildren, Joshua Orso, Ashley Miller, John Walters “Knuckle Head”; great-granddaughter, Braeleigh Hallmark; mother-in-law, Joyce Clark; siblings, Nita Carter (Dan), Larry Walters (Patricia), and Melissa Norris (Rodney); along with many nieces, nephews; and his furry friend, “Stinkie”.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at First Baptist Church Spanish Fort, 8353 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL.  There will be a time of visitation before the service beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
