Tommy O. Manley, 68, of Fairhope, AL, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022, surrounded by family.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Rita; his daughters, Ashley Manley, and Nicole Manley Ramsdell (Robbie); son, Marc Manley; and brother, Larry Manley (Phoebe); and his grandchildren, who knew him as Poppa. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, George and Willene Stein and son, Kevin Manley.
Tommy was born in Montgomery and later moved to Mobile. He was a graduate of Murphy High School where he was a standout basketball player and athlete. Tommy was a small business owner, and he owned and operated Manley Plumbing Co. Inc. in Mobile for over 40 years. He took great pride in his company which showed to all his customers and colleagues. He spent much of his free time at Fort Morgan where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Tommy requested a cremation and a celebration of life which will be held privately at a later date.
Tommy and Rita were the love of each other’s life. Thirty seven years they spent enjoying each other, life, family, and friends. If you were lucky enough to have known Tommy then you surely experienced laughter and joy. He was a charismatic and loving man.
Tommy and his beloved granddaughter Grace had a saying: “I love you to the moon and back around the stars wherever you are.”

Tommy was such an amazing man. I would grin ear to ear every time I saw him. He always had something witty to say and I couldn’t wait to find out what it was! Such a kind hearted guy. You guys both mean so much to Ron and me. In our time of need, y’all were there for us. That meant and means so much to us. You guys have may such a positive impact on our lives. Rita, I hope you know that we love you guys and our hearts are aching. Our prayers for you and your family are being continually lifted and we are sending out thoughts and love your way. We are here for whatever you need – you know how to get in touch (night or day).
At any event or social gathering you would find Tommy as the center of attention. Infectious smile and all around great guy. Going to miss him.
