Andrew (Andy) Harhai was born in Greensburg, PA on October 22, 1930. He was the son of the late Paul and Henrietta (Pawlyshyn) Harhai.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Harhai and Steve Harhai; and six sisters, Pearl Klaka, Mary Beluschok, Ann Hritzko, Eva Gula, Stella Vella and Natalie Hausele.
Andy is survived by his wife of almost 67 years, Evelyn (Polcha) Harhai; four daughters, Nancy (Bruce) Darling of Wilson, NC, Debbie Harhai of San Antonio, TX, Denise (Dean Schloyer) Harhai of Hendersonville, NC and Doreen (Danny) Harrison of Spanish Fort, AL; 5 grandsons, Austin (Christina) Morgan of Fairhope, AL, Alec Morgan of Spanish Fort, AL, Logan Morgan of Mobile, AL, Delane (Jackie) Harrison of Tuscaloosa, AL and Clint (Dusty) Harrison of Breaux Bridge, LA; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret (Emery) Secosky of Punxsutawney, PA and Pauline (Tom) Hendrickson of Pleasant Unity, PA and multiple nieces and nephews.
Andy was a past President of the Vanity Fair Golf & Tennis Club, past President of The Rotary Club of Monroeville, member of the Knights of Columbus and member of the American Legion. He was the previous Owner/Operator of Monroeville Aviation & Avionics Center for over 25 years and past County Manager for Monroe County Airport.
He was a member of the Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church in Spanish Fort, AL and a previous member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Monroeville, AL for over 45 years. He served in the United States Air Force during the 1950s at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS and Nantucket Island, MA.
Andy was an avid fan of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He enjoyed spending time with his family along with golfing, hunting, fishing, traveling and building model airplanes.

A private burial will be held at the Alabama State Veteran’s Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL. A special mass and celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
