Brown
Ann Bailey Brown, 71, a native of Atlanta, GA and longtime resident of Mobile, passed away at a local nursing home on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Mrs. Brown was a former member of the Florence Crittenden Junior Board and was a former volunteer at Mobile General Hospital where she served as President of the High Fever Follies and grand chairman. She was awarded the M. O. Bealle Scroll of Merit, nominated and presented ‘Notable American of the Bicentennial Era’ and ‘Personalities of the South’.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Brown, Jr.
Surviving are her daughters, Laura (Nicky) Impastato and Julia Page Bailey; her son, Clifton (Michelle) Bailey; her sister, Claudia c. Shumate; cousin Shirley Paris; five grandsons, Nicholas L. Impastato, Phillip Devereux Bailey, bailey P. Impastato, Kilton Gary bailey, Clifton Durand Bailey; many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service times will be announced.
