Arthur “Terry” Chambless, Jr., a longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the age of 75.

After 25 years of service at Degussa, Terry found a passion for wood carving. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, but his three greatest joys in life were his family, his El Camino and LSU Football.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Chambless, Sr., and Mildred Chambless; and his sister, Eleanor Chambless Goodloe.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lunetter Tanton Chambless; son, Arthur (Angie) Chambless, III of Stockton, AL; daughter, Darlene Chambless Rogers of Satsuma, AL; three grandchildren, Cody (Amy) Chambless, Brittleigh Rogers (Jared Davis) and Magan (Davey) Scarbrough; four great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.  He also leaves beind two sisters, one brother and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a celebration of Terry’s life on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church Satsuma, 5600 Old Hwy. 43 in Satsuma, at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at  https://act.alz.org/site/Donation  or the UAB Rett Syndrome Clinic, https://www.rettsyndrome.org/get-involved/donate/donate-now/   in honor of his great-granddaughter.

The family wishes to extend a very special thanks to the staff of Saad’s Home Health and Hospice.

    No words to express our feeling now. Prayers for Lunetter and family. Terry was a great guy and really enjoy seeing his carvings when we visited with him.
