Barbara “Bobbie” Stokes Nichols

June 19, 1956 - June 11, 2020


Barbara “Bobbie” Stokes Nichols, a native of Monroe County, AL and a resident of Baldwin County, AL passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the age of 63.

Bobbie was a wonderful, loving mother of four boys, was a loving wife and will be missed by all who knew her.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mildred Stokes; sisters, Louise and Sandra; and brothers, Ronnie, Clyde B. and Alvin.

She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Raymond Nichols; children, Danny (Missy), Michael (Charlene), Phrankey (Jason) and Alex (Dina), Patricia (Joe), Gloria, and Ray (Debra); grandchildren, Carly, Emily, Diamond, Madison, Jon Michael, AJ, Catalina, Lee (Aneidre), Joanie (Mike), Donna, Kristy (Michael), Brittany and Brad (Robin); numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Pete), Sherry and Kitty (Larry); brothers, Grady (Mary), Kenneth (Debbie), Bill and Franklin; two uncles, J.L. Harrison (Eloise) and Bobby Earl Harrison; as well other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Stapleton Church of God, 13593 Church Street, Stapleton, AL.  Interment will follow at Stapleton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Expressions of condolence for the family may be made at  Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

    I only met her a few times but she was a beautiful woman. She was a lady because the minute she smiled at me, I knew that her heart was kind and loving. I also knew she loved her children and supported them. It’s a grave loss anytime we lose our mom or dad. We only get one and when they leave us on this earth it’s a sad day. My prayers go to the family and for the family. God will hold your hands through it all.
