Barbara Louise Butler, age 76, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2022, with family by her side. Barbara was born to Harry Ernest and Clara Sorrells Williams on September 25, 1946, in Mobile, AL. Barbara married the love of her life, Paul Thomas Butler, on May 29, 1969. They were married for 52 years at the time of Paul’s passing in April of 2022.

Together, Paul and Barbara raised their five children and enjoyed time spent with their grandchildren. Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. Barbara was a wonderful cook. She loved to feed her family and the friends they brought along. Everyone always had a place and felt at home around Barbara’s table. She loved flowers, bird watching, and she especially loved her best pup, Boots. She delighted in her grandchildren and loved to watch them grow. She was beloved by her children and will be greatly missed by all.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Clara Williams, her husband, Paul Thomas Butler, and her daughter Carolyn Elizabeth Butler. Barbara is survived by her four sons, Robert Alan Butler, Steven Thomas (Brooke) Butler, Harry Vincent (Deena) Butler and Paul Eric (Rhonda) Butler, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, her sister-in-law Mary Helen McKeough, sister-in-law Lynn Butler and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 24, 2022, for both Barbara Butler and her daughter, Carolyn Butler, who recently passed away as well. The service will take place at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL. Visitation will begin at 10:00am with the Rev. Steven Norman officiating.
