Barbara Lind Hollenbeck, a native of Vernon, AL and a resident of Foley, AL, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the age of 77.
Barbara graduated from Lamar County High School and perused a career in cosmetology. After marrying the love of her life, Barbara became a stay at home mother, devoting her time to caring for her immediate and extended family. Barbara’s hard work and skill at gardening and cooking were the rewards her family enjoyed and was the foundation of her happy and loving family.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Raymond Hollenbeck; her father, Berry Edgar Turner; her mother, Lula Aleen Turner; and her brother-in-law, Glen Sanders.
She is survived by her daughters, Monica (Troy) Little and Pam Hollenbeck; step-son, Stephen Hollenbeck; grandchildren, Codie Pierce, Garret Hopper, Perry Hollenbeck, Lisa Woods and Michelle Hollenbeck; great-grandchildren, Raylee Grace Pierce, David Hollenbeck, Sam Hollenbeck, Connor Woods, Logan Woods, Noah Woods and Anna Joy Woods; siblings, Eleanor Sanders, Bobby Turner and Kay (Gene) Payne; along with other family members and friends.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at Hughes Funeral Home, 7951 American Way, Daphne, AL at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. At 10:30 a.m., there will be a procession to the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Highway 225, Spanish Fort, for a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.
