Barron Tyler Welch was born in Mobile, Alabama and lived in Daphne, Alabama. He passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, he was 14 months old.
Barron was born with a rare genetic disorder called Treacher Collins Syndrome. He bravely endured five surgeries in his short life, each one giving his family more time with him.
Barron commanded a room. He did from his first day. People were drawn to him because of how cute he was, but they stayed because of the sweet loving demeanor he gushed. He spent nearly a year at home with his family after NICU discharge. He enjoyed holidays, visits with family and friends, football weekends, and just lazy days full of snuggles. He loved to pull dad’s ears and hair and was always waiting in the garage when his dad got home. He often surprised his dad with little knick knacks in his pockets. He was his mom’s sidekick, accompanying her on any and all of their adventures. He loved Miss Rachel from Songs with Littles, Mickey Mouse, Encanto, and loved to be read to, even if it was just ads in the mail. He made leaps of progress in a short time with the help of his Physical, Occupational, and Speech/Feeding therapists. He loved to bounce and give kisses to mom and dad. He was the best tambourine player to ever walk this earth. He was the missing piece to so many puzzles. He was the happiest and purest soul. The only comfort for his family is that he is in the Arms of the Savior. He is healed, happy, and loved by so many that came before him.
Barron is survived by his parents, Tyler and Lauren Welch; grandparents, Lisa and Frank Joines and Frances Myers; great-grandparents, Norman and Carolyn Cumberland and Ceicil and Bonnie Denton; as well as his dog, Cobie.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Coastal Church, 11101 County Road 64, Daphne, Alabama at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens. **The family asks that everyone to wear bright, primary colors or anything with patterns, as Barron loved colors and patterns.**
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send memorial donations to Children’s of Alabama Hospital at https://www.childrensal.org/foundation

My heart breaks for y’all. I’m praying that the void in your hearts and lives will be filled with all the precious memories that have been made over the last 14 months.
Barron was our NICU buddy down the hall. During our extended stay, we noticed Tyler wearing a Daphne mask, as we live in Fairhope- We knew then that we had unexpected support and, little did I know, Lauren and I would share our fears, triumphs and walk that long NICU journey together. We prayed for our friend Barron daily, and Lauren continued to show us support after we left the hospital., which meant more then she will ever know.
Tyler and Lauren- you are and have been, the strongest most loving parents in every action. Please know you have our friendship and support in the days to come.. We are heartbroken for your family and will continue praying for peace as Barron rests in the arms of Jesus. We love y’all!
Lauren and Tyler and family
