Betty Hogan Church, 79, of Daphne, Alabama, died on Sunday, March 27, 2022.  Betty was born on December 29, 1942, to Lola Pearl Hogan and Rayford D. Hogan in Galveston, Texas.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Bob Church.  Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Ray Smallwood, and Steven Smallwood (Jennie); daughter, Jackie Lomax; stepchildren, Tim Church (Molly), Michael Church (Laurie), and Kathryn Parrot (Zachary); brother, Jerry Hogan (Nancy); twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Betty grew up in Inverness, Florida and spent the majority of her adult life in Alabama raising her children.  She always provided for her family and put them before herself. 

Betty and Bob owned Best Rate Insurance of Mobile and retired after 20 successful years. Following retirement Betty spent time volunteering at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Alabama. 

A gathering of family and friends for a memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Crossroads Church, 10777 County Road 138 in Bay Minette, AL.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for a time of visitation.
