In Loving Memory

Beverly Ann Berry

October 14, 1952 - June 22, 2022

Tribute

Beverly Ann Newport Berry entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends.

During the over 50 years of marriage, Beverly and Frank were constant companions.  They were true partners for life. Side-by-side every day, they laughed together, cried together, worked together, and played together.  If you saw one of them, you knew the other one was not far away.

Wherever Beverly went, she would light up the room with her warm smile and friendly, outgoing personality and was always “dressed to the nines”.  She was an empathetic listener to those seeking advice and comfort.  She touched many lives with her encouraging words and sense of humor.  Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life and is the most important part of her legacy.

One of the biggest highlights of her life was her grandchildren.  She was always ready for any opportunity to be with them…. whether it was watching her grandsons’ baseball games or having them spend the night.  Her faith and her family were her complete joy, happiness, and fulfillment.  Her legacy of love and faith is an inspiration for her entire family.  Beverly was a gift to each of us and we are grateful for her presence in our lives.  We will carry her memory and love in our hearts always.

Beverly is survived by her loving husband, Robert Franklin Berry; her son, Robert Sherman Berry; daughter-in-love, Allison Berry; and her three grandchildren, Easton Berry, Collin Berry and Mya Berry.  She is preceded in her homegoing by her parents, Sherman and Lillie Newport.

A celebration of Beverly’s life will be held at Church of His Presence, 24142 State Road 181, Daphne, AL, on Thursday June 30, 2022, at 1:00 PM with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation beginning at 11:30 AM.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Church of His Presence.

Expressions of condolence for the family may be made at www.hughesfh.com. Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

Beverly was a dear friend to me during the years I attended church with her in Mobile. I was blessed to babysit little Rip when I was in high school and college. She was someone that I looked up to and admired in many ways. Her beautiful smile, her joy for living and her love for Jesus was contagious! My condolences to dear Frank, Rip and family.

Beverly was my sister in Christ. She was my rock during the difficult times when I was caring for my father . If I needed someone to confide in or just a word to keep me pressing on, I could depend on this sweet lady . She exemplified the true meaning of the words FAITH and LOVE. Beverly you will always be my BUTTERFLY ! My Thoughts and Prayers to Frank, and the entire family .
