Bradner Clark Ralph, a devoted husband and loving father, died on November 8, 2025.
Brad was a Civil, Geotechnical Engineer for 35 years and had a passion for his work.
Brad is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kimberly Nelson Ralph; and his two children, Brady Ralph (29 years) and Madison Ralph Bohte (31 years). He also leaves his brother, George Ralph. He was preceded in death by his father, George Franklin Ralph and his mother, Joan Ritter Ralph.
Brad was born in Tallahassee, Florida on November 25, 1963, to George Franklin Ralph and Joan Ritter Ralph. He resided in Mobile, Alabama as a child and attended St. Paul’s School. Brad graduated from Auburn University in 1986 with a degree in Civil Engineering. In 1991, he married Kim in Fairhope, Alabama, followed by the birth of their two children.
Brad was an avid mineral and fossil collector, who enjoyed all things related to the geotechnical field. He had recently become a grandfather and enjoyed being “Poppy” to his grandson, Miles. He was a spiritual man who attended Coastal Church in Daphne. Brad was his happiest when he was preparing food in front of the grill for his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 10AM – 12PM at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL.

Brad always amazed me with his ability to repair anything mechanical and he enjoyed buying older non-functioning items like a riding lawn mower that wouldn’t run, then get it running like new. He was the epitome of an engineer as he possessed the ability to solve even electronic glitches in appliances, things I would never even attempt. I’ve always liked Brad and I will miss him considerably. He was my son-in-law and a good man.
When I think of my cousin Brad, the first words that come to mind are “he is a kind man.” After years apart due to living in different States, we connected in June ‘25 over lunch with him and Kim. It was such a God moment and I am so blessed we had that time together to share food, fellowship, laughs and family stories. I walked away thanking God for that time together and saying in my heart “he is such a kind man.” I am sad I won’t see him again on this side of Heaven, but I will see him again in Heaven❤️ You are greatly missed Brad.

I enjoyed working with Brad here at USACE-Mobile District. He was a fine engineer, improved our organization and projects, and was a pleasure to work with. He is missed here at work and our community is diminished with his passing. My condolences to his family.

I thought highly of Brad, both as a colleague and as someone I could consider a friend. It was easy to see that everybody at our place of work thought of Brad in this way. He had a treasure chest of useful engineering experience. He always stayed positive, and he was a joy to be around and to listen to. My experience from working with Brad will help me not only be a better engineer, but also a better person. His passing truly saddens me, and he will be missed.
Brad was a nice and knowledgeable man to work with at the Corps of Engineers. He was always kind, and we will miss him very much.
Sincere condolences to the Ralph Family
I worked with Brad at Thompson Engineering. He was really good at checking in on people and would always be sure to stop and talk and share stories. He proudly displayed photos of his family, and a beautiful family they are. He took the time to mentor our younger Engineers and could remember projects from “way back when,” so I would always go to him for his recollections. He would drink coffee throughout the day, and I would find his coffee cup in various places around the office. Brad had a different sense of humor and made me laugh. He was not a malicious person and was kind and sensitive. I extend my condolences to his friends and family and pray that the memories of your good times bring you comfort.
I just found out about Brad’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May your many wonderful memories help you with your grief.
