Carl Kendrick Riggs, 57, of Fairhope, died Sat. Oct. 5th, 2013 after a brief illness. He was the son of Aline Riggs and of the late Stephen Riggs.

He is survived by his brother Lloyd Riggs, and his 4 sisters; Aline Fadden, Gretchen Amezine, Carrie Brown and Blanche Smith.

Carl served his country as a member of the US Army. He has always had a gentle and kind spirit. We will miss him dearly.  Please join our family for services to be held at Spanish Fort Veteran’s Cemetery at 1:00pm, Friday, Oct. 18th.     My sincerest condolences. I will be making an effort to get there today, but a minor brush with a tree at 3 a.m. this morning did major damage to our only car and I am working the phones! God bless you all.

    Went to service with Carl at Ft. Huachuca Alabama back around 1986-87.
    We had both previously been overseas (Carl Germany and myself Korea)
    Was his room mate and friend in the U.S. Army
    Was shocked to hear this. We shared many good times together. Have been looking for him for many years
    Met his brother Lloyd when He came to down to visit him at Ft. Huachuca Az.
    He had problem with his foot for many years but was healthy as far as I knew.
