Charles Almon Graham, a native of Newton County, Mississippi, and a resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the age of 86.
Chuck retired from the United States Air Force and Civil Service with 39 years of total service. He was a Morse Systems Operator and was an extraordinarily gifted instructor and mentor for Airmen entering military service. He was a charter member of Westminster Village Amateur Radio Club, which operates with the callsign AB4WV. Chuck was also an active member of Amateur Radio Operators for the past 60 years with the callsign WA5HWO. When he wasn’t on the radio, he enjoyed playing darts and an occasional game of Pai Gow with a few of his friends at the casino.
Chuck had a great love for his country, his family, and especially the love of his life, Bettye. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Graham and Dorothy Marie Graham, sister, Patricia Ann Moran, and brother, William Earl Graham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bettye; along with several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 Hwy 225 in Spanish Fort, Alabama on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 2PM. Chaplain Mark Smith officiating.

I knew Charles for 65 years. He and Bettye were like family having served at different locations and stateside assignments our paths always crossed. He will be missed. Til we meet again good friend.
