Charles Wilfred “Will” Barrios, 79, of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on September 21, 2025.

Will is survived by Sheryl R. Barrios; his daughters, Sydney (Jason) Lewis of Perdido, AL, and Katrinna Barrios of Tanner Williams, AL; his grandchildren, Abigail Broughton and Kendall Broughton; his sister, Rita B. Ellis; nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mavis H. Wahl and Charles H. Barrios, and his brother, Edgar C. Barrios.

A proud Vietnam Veteran, Will dedicated himself to helping fellow veterans navigate their benefits and find the support they needed. He had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, and collecting Civil War artifacts, and he especially enjoyed metal detecting alongside his cousin, Milton. Since his retirement, he was a regular at Planet Fitness, a familiar face at Waffle House and Los Tacos, and could often be found sharing laughs and stories with his friends over lunch at Saraceno’s.

Will’s quick wit, love of conversation, and warm presence made him unforgettable to everyone he met. He took great pride in sharing stories from his years in medical sales and as an X-Ray technician and treasured the time he spent with his family most of all.

There will be a time of visitation with family and friends on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road in Daphne, AL, beginning at 11AM. Following the visitation time, a graveside funeral service will be held at 1PM at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.
