December 23, 1936 – July 11, 2006 In Loving Memory.
Charles Boyd Alawine, age 69, born at Annona, Texas, died in Fairhope on Tuesday, July 11,
2006 surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Alawine graduated from Annona High School and
attended East Texas State
University and was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church. He had served on the
boards of Citizens Bank and Amsouth Bank and was a member of the Rotary Club and Jaycees and
was a Boy Scout leader. He was President and CEO of Poser Business Forms for many years.
While in retirement, he “hit a home run” and
worked in the hardware department of Home Depot. He loved fishing, his dogs, golfing and
woodworking, but most of all he was a devoted husband, father and granddaddy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James T. And Lorena Alawine and a brother, Bobby James
Alawine. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Myrna M. Alawine, Silverhill; 3 daughters,
Cheryl (Andy) Bowen, Fairhope; Terri (Ross) Bishop, Fairhope and Mary (Chris) Schang,
Pensacola and a son, Dale (Donna) Turberville, Mobile. He has 9 grandchilden, Bud Bishop,
Bailey Turberville, Scott Janes, Brooke Schang, Christopher Schang, Grace Bishop, Hannah
Bishop, Little Dale Turberville and Jasmine Turberville, and many specially loved friends.
