Charles Timothy “Tim” Gunn, age 70, a native of Silas, AL and resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Mobile, AL, surrounded by his loving family.
Tim spent his career in Sales, retiring after 30 years with Pitney Bowes before working another decade in the security industry. Throughout his career, he was known as a gifted and successful salesman, respected by colleagues and customers alike.
He was a devoted member of 3 Circle Church in Daphne, AL, where his small group and Bible study community were an important part of his life and faith. The friendships and fellowship he found there deeply enriched his walk with Christ.
For Tim, nothing mattered more than family. His greatest joy was the love he shared with his wife and the family they built together. He filled his days with his grandchildren’s sporting events and spending quality time together with them. He also loved hunting, fishing, and traveling with close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Rubye Gunn. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jamie Gunn; his sons, Peyton (Hilary) Gunn and Ben (Karley) Gunn; his cherished grandchildren, Evie, Luke, Amelia, Daniel, and Anna; his brother, John Gunn; and his spoiled dog, Dudley.
A funeral service will be held at 3 Circle Church, 10080 County Road 64, Daphne, AL 36526, on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Jubilee Memorial Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, SICU nurses, and staff at Mobile Infirmary for their exceptional care and kindness.
Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tim is known to me as a gentle, loyal and loving man. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. A man’s man who stared down fear with truth and he rested in the love and happiness he shared with everyone.
I had the privilege of Working with Tim for many years. In that time he met his wife Jamie.
As a Sales rep for Pitney Bowes he was dedicated and supportive one of the best I have been around in my PB career He was also was as committed to Jamie and his family. My wife and I were very proud to call “Charles Tim” our good friend

My heart is with you all! I loved uncle Tim so very much. He was an exemplary husband and father and also the best uncle. I will always remember his sense of humor and how he was just so fun to be around. I will never forget the wonderful memories made. From when we were little spending time with everyone in Mobile (crying when we had to leave) to all of the Thanksgiving holidays spent in Gatlinburg and the Alabama/Auburn football games together. What wonderful memories I will treasure. I am sending my love to you all and wish so bad I could be there.
I have known Tim Gunn for most of my life. I was just a kid when he met my big sister Jamie at the bank in McIntosh where she worked. Tim had the good sense to make sure Jamie eventually became his wife and he in turn became a very loved member of our family. Thank you Tim for cherishing my sister and showering her with a lifetime of happiness. I have many memories of Tim, but to me his most endearing and defining quality was his laugh. I always called it a chuckle and it always made me smile. Rest in peace my dear brother in law. You will be sorely missed.
Today, we remember and honor our dear colleague and friend, Tim, whose presence brightened our workplace and whose absence leaves a space no one can truly fill.
Tim was more than just a coworker—He was a constant source of support, kindness, and professionalism. Whether it was offering help without being asked, lifting someone’s spirits with a kind word, or leading by quiet, steady example, Tim made our days better just by being part of them.
We will remember his laughter, dedication, and the small moments that showed just how much he cared—not only about the work we shared, but about each of us as individuals. The impact Tim made on our team and our company is lasting.
As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons Tim taught us—about hard work, compassion, and grace. Though gone from our sight, Tim will always remain in our thoughts and hearts.
Rest in peace, Tim. You are deeply missed and forever remembered.
I knew Tim in his younger years. We were classmates and friends. I remember him as the coolest dude in town. My prayers are with you all.
Tim was a kind and loving mentor to many, of which I am thankful to have been counted amongst those numbers . He was a dedicated and loving family man, he always spoke often of his family, a smile and pride brimming in his voice. His calming influence and approach to business was an anchor that had often brought me back down to earth and instilled peace to my heart. See you on the other side my friend.
