Chris Lucas Nicholas, age 65, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025. He was born on September 12, 1960, to the late Lucas Evangelo Nicholas, Sr. and Myrtle Sullivan Nicholas.
Chris built a long and respected career as an insurance adjuster, known for his dedication, integrity, and compassion toward others. Outside of work, he found great joy in the outdoors — especially hunting, fishing, and cooking. His love for good food and time spent in nature was matched only by the love he had for his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Christina Nicholas Romain; cherished grandchildren, Michael Anthony Romain, II, Ryan Sullivan Romain, and Reese Addison Romain; and devoted siblings, Angela Nicholas Sledge and Lucas E. Nicholas, Jr. Chris is also survived by many extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Always by his side was his loyal companion and best friend, his dog Rhett, who brought him endless comfort and joy.
Chris will be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the deep love he held for those closest to him.
A private family graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery to honor his life.
