Tribute

Christopher James Lambeth, 31, a resident of Daphne AL, passed away on July 5, 2020 along with his lifelong best friend, Richard “Richie” Henderson.”

Chris was born in Mobile, AL and grew up in Daphne, AL. Chris attended Daphne High School where he was a star quarterback for the DHS Trojans, he graduated in 2007.  He received a full-ride scholarship to Arkansas State University. To some, Chris may have seemed like a quiet & reserved guy… but to friends & family, Chris was charismatic, lovable and so full of life. Anybody who describes Chris always talks about how he had the biggest heart and how he always put others before himself.

For the past several years he worked his way up at Jani King, a national commercial cleaning company. Just over a year ago, he worked his way to his career goal and became the Regional Director for the Daphne office for Jani King. Chris’ hobbies included fishing, boating, tennis, ping-pong, football and collecting rare coins. He had a smile that was impossible to forget and a laugh that would bring instant joy to your day. He loved being on the water and spending time with his beloved dog, (best friend) Bay. More than anything though, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Chris was a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many. He will leave an impression on the hearts of every single person who had the honor of knowing him.

Chris leaves behind his mother, Carolyn Lagman Lambeth; brother, Richard Chadwick Lambeth “Chad” (Kelly); sister, Ashley Lambeth Larson; nephews, David Alan Larson III “Trip,” and Mason James “Crosby” Lambeth; niece, Bailey Deborah Larson; maternal grandmother, Betty Jo Lagman; maternal aunt, Elizabeth Cascaden (Roger), maternal uncle, Wayne Lagman (Regina); paternal uncle, Jeff Lambeth (Candy); paternal aunts, Carol Fledderman (Steve), Betty Grant; and many very close cousins, Lauren, Eric, Jennifer, Michael (Melinda), Hannah (Dustin), Morgan, Mallory, Rhonda, David, and Mary; and so many dear friends; and last but definitely not least, his beloved dog and best friend, Bay.

Chris is being welcomed with open arms by his father, James Alva Lambeth Jr.; his paternal grandparents, James Alva Lambeth Sr & Lois Lambeth; maternal grandfather, Louis Richard Lagman; maternal great-grandmother, Bessie Collins; and a cousin, Ricky Godwin.

A visitation for Chris and his best friend, Richie, will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne AL 36526, on Friday July 10, 2020 from 1:00 -4:00 PM. A private service for immediate family to follow at 4:00 PM. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we can only allow immediate family at the service, however we invite everyone else who knew and loved Chris & Richie to join us for the visitation from 1:00-4:00 PM.  Please be advised that the funeral home will be following the guidelines set up by the CDC and ADPH adhering to the community health requirements regarding social distancing and we will also be requiring face masks to be worn in the funeral home, masks will be provided for those who do not have one.

In lieu of flowers our family is asking for donations to be made to a trust that is being set up for Richard Henderson’s two young sons, Trey and Aiden. Without a doubt both Chris and Richie would have wanted it that way.  Donations can be mailed to: Richie Henderson Memorial Trust, 3665 Wheeler Road, Suite 1A, Augusta, GA 30909 or to a Go Fund Me Page organized by Chad Lambeth at or through a Go Fund Me Account organized by Chad Lambeth online at https://www.gofundme.com/f/richie-henderson-memorial-trust

I had the privilege of working with Chris for about a year. He was an outstanding young man who cared more about helping others than he did himself. You will be missed. May God bless you and your family.

I’ve had the pleasure to go to school with and play along side both Chris and Richie. I loved both of those guys. It wasn’t one day that went by where they were not together or playing pranks on each other. We had some great times on and off the field. I am so sorry for your loss to the Lambeth and Henderson family. They will forever live on in all of our hearts!

Christopher James. My heart is aching. We’ve known each other for 21 years! And I’ve loved you for all 21 of those. You’ve been one of the most special and most important people in my life. You’ve always been there for me. You’ve always stayed in my life. You’re the most caring and compassionate person I’ve ever met. We share so many memories together that will be with me always. From spending hours on the phone jamming out to Kid rock 😂 to walking the trail at Bat front park and almost being attacked by a giant banana spider just a few short years ago. Lol. I can’t believe this is real. I love you more than words will ever explain and I know I’ll see again some day!

My prayers and thoughts are with the Lambeth family, friends, and extended people in this time of sorrow. My nephew Nathan Miller was a friend of both young men. My heart is hurting for him. I can tell Chris was very respected and loved. May Gods grace wrap all of you up and give you comfort and strength at this time. More importantly may Gods love always be felt💞🌹🙏

I knew Chris through Jani-King. My best friend, Theresa, introduced us. He was so very nice & so full of life. He was a friend from the start. I am a cancer survivor & he always asked me how I was & what was happening with me every time I saw him. He always made me feel special & like what I said mattered. He will be missed so much.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I used to see Chris walking his beautiful dog in the mornings or afternoons when I was on my way to my parents house. He would always smile and wave. Seemed to be a very nice young man.
