Cynthia “Cindy” Anne Stinson, 76, of Anthony, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 21, 1948, in Paxton, Illinois, to the late Joe and Janet Powell.
Cindy was a devoted mother to Michael Stinson of Harper, Kansas, Robert “Andy” Stinson of Harper, Kansas, Jonny Stinson of Harper, Kansas, Kimberly Hughes and husband Jeff of Mesa, Arizona, Thomas Kane of Wichita, Kansas, Holly Hunter of Wichita, Kansas and Victoria Collvins and husband Aaron of Daphne, Alabama. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, who were all the light of her life.
She is survived by her sisters, Deedee Eppelheimer and Janice Breeden, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Joe Powell; brother, David Powell; and her beloved dog, Muffin. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, Lucky, who brought her great comfort and joy.
Cindy worked for many years at Harper Hospital, where she built lasting friendships before retiring. Known for her warm heart and creative spirit, she was talented in many crafts and often made thoughtful handmade gifts, from beautiful paintings to cozy crocheted treasures. She loved sharing coffee and conversation with friends and always found joy in making others feel special.
A memorial service will be held at Harvest Bible Fellowship, 321 E 10th Street, Harper, KS 67058, on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 10:30AM with a light lunch provided immediately following the service. (Flowers may be sent to the church the day before.)
Her kindness, creativity, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Cindy and I worked together for many, many years at Harper Hospital District #5. Even after we retired we kept in touch. She would stop by every once in a while for a cup of coffee and to visit.
I watched her kids grow up and become adults. She loved all of you so much!
She will be missed immensely and always remembered.

Met Cindy in 2002 when I started working at Harper Hospital District #5 in Harper,Kansas. She’s a really sweet person. I would visit with her after she retired and I would deliver her my farm fresh eggs. We enjoyed our visits. My prayers to all the family. Rest in peace Cindy!!
