Clarence Edward Andrews, Sr. “PeeWee” passed away on January 30, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. PeeWee was born in Mobile, AL on March 9, 1943 and was a long-time resident of Mobile, AL.
PeeWee’s career as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers IUOE Local 653 took him throughout the Southeast on many different construction projects.
PeeWee loved all things Mobile Mardi Gras and was a member of several mystical societies throughout his life. In addition to Mardi Gras, PeeWee enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. He spent many happy days with friends and family at a small cabin and pond he built in Malcolm, Al. As a true southerner, he was always up for his favorite foods of fried catfish, shrimp, raw gulf oysters and last but definitely not least, vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Robbie Dee Andrews, Sr., his mother Annie Bell Andrews (Moorer), and his brother, Robbie Dee (Bill) Andrews, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sandra J. Andrews; as well as his children, Clarence Edward “C.E.” Andrews, Jr., Deanna A. Pollard, Amy Katherine Andrews-Bennett, (James); and five grandchildren, Anna, Lukas, Colby, Connor and Joseph.
At this time there will be no memorial service, however, the family welcomes memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association as an expression of sympathy at https://act.alz.org/site/Donation

I remember Pee Wee and Sandy dancing up a storm at Jim and Amy’s wedding. Truly stylish, fun loving and above all, Southern!
