I met Dana, a beautiful lady of faith, when we joined Eastern Shore Baptist Church. She was always warm and kind, had a beautiful smile and involved. She had an awesome circle of special friends! She loved her family, took care of her family. I loved her photos she would share of her sisters. I ran into her in town with her mother several times; she loved her so with great patience caring for her. I enjoyed being a fb friend to Dana, a friend to pray for her when she was having treatments and not feeling well. Dana was strong! She was a fighter. She never let her illness slow her down. She loved her family. It was obvious she was smitten with love for her granddaughter. She loved her daughter Marie so much praying for her, being there for her. And Steve was her love and best friend — plain to see. It was awesome they would go to First Baptist Daphne every year for an anniversary photo. Dana was a light that will be missed. I pray for her loved ones on this earth she had to leave, until they meet again. God bless you all during this very difficult time. God was ready to take her home. I am very sorry for your loss. Prayers are lifted for your family.

Dana was a very kind person, and she had the sweetest laugh. She will be remembered as one of the kindest people I had ever known. Prayers, love, and thoughts for Steve, Marie, Jude, and Nick. May God continue to wrap his loving arms around you all during this time and every time you think of Dana in the days ahead.

  7. Muriel Chaney-Miller

Dana and I have known each other since we attended Spanish Fort Elementary School. After residing in California for 20 years, I moved back to Daphne. My husband and I ran into Dana at Sam’s Club one day. She told my husband that I was “a long-time friend and that “she loved me.” She grabbed my arm and we walked, talked and held hands like we were kids again. Dana was a ray of sunshine; she never met a stranger and I will always remember what a big heart she had, her big laughs, and her beautiful smile. Eventhough I never met Steve, Marie, Jude and her family, I felt like I knew them because her conversations always included them. She loved everyone deeply. I will miss my classmate, my friend. 💔
