Daniel Luther Jordan, a native of Selma, AL and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 74.
Daniel was born August 7, 1951, at Maxwell Airforce Base, to Emory and Rose Jordan.
Daniel was first and foremost a devoted husband to his wife, Earle. He was a loving father to his two children, Pete and Anna Kate. Daniel worked as a Ranger for the Alabama State Forestry Commission in Dallas County, Alabama for 32 years. At that time, he retired to spend more time with his family in the kitchen and on the water. He adored his grandchildren and all the time he was able to spend with them.
Daniel lived life loudly, making an impact on the people he surrounded himself with. From hosting crawfish boils in the spring, to decorating for Christmas, he kept his family entertained showing his love for them through food and laughter. He was the most happy on the water fishing and scalloping in St. Joseph’s Bay.
Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Rose Jordan. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Frances Earle Mock; his two children, Peter Mock-Jordan (April) of Daphne, AL and Anna Kate Mock-Jordan Boney (Cameron) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Thomas, LilyAnn, Killian and Freyja Jordan; his siblings, Caroline Threadgill, David Jordan (Regina), Michael Jordan and Clifford Jordan (Teresa); along with nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, is assisting the family.

He was our older brother, we loved him and we know he loved us. Death ends life but not relationships. Always loved, forever missed and never forgotten. You always think you have tomorrow, but don’t wait for tomorrow.
Caroline Threadgill, David and Regina Jordan, Mike Jordan and Clifford and Teresa Jordan
