David Howard Pearson, Jr., age 85, a native of Birmingham and a resident of Fairhope, died on

Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

He was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church. David was retired from Scott Paper Company after 30 years. He was also a US Army veteran and served in WWII and was also a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

He is survived by sons, Robert Atkins, Fairhope and Thomas Atkins, Huntsville, AL.; daughters, Helen Hughes, Dallas, Texas, Karlie Poole, Fairhope and Terry McPhail, Foley; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27 at 11:00am at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. A visitation will be held before from 9:30 until 10:30 at the funeral home.
