David “Scot” Armour, of Daphne, AL, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 62.
Scot attended Mississippi State University and built a career in Information Technology. At the time of his passing, he served as Team Leader, Information Technology – Applications at Infirmary Health System.
Scot was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Armour; his brothers, Jerry Armour and Tony Armour; and his father-in-law, Landon Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jennifer Armour; two daughters, Lindsay Armour Tielking (Nate) and Becca Armour Simon (Isaac); his mother, Rochelle Gray; his father, Arthur Armour (Brenda); his sister, Dinah Branum (Paul); his mother-in-law, Nellie Johnson; his brother-in-law, Brian Johnson; his cousin, Joel; and three grandchildren, Ryli, Laci, and Zoi Wright. He is also survived by two nieces, Whitney Warren and Lila Harkins; one nephew, Nick Owen; and one great-nephew, Silas Warren.
Scot was affectionately known to his three dogs as “Treatman,” as he never came home without something special for them. He loved Greta, Benny, and Olly with all his heart — and they loved him just as deeply.
Scot will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, at 3PM. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends before the service, beginning at 2PM

I miss our conversation already. The Hellboy Chronicles will remain EPIC lore forever. We shared happy family stories. Encouraged one another over family loses. Just had a great time of fellowship. Scot always made me smile as he always spoke to me. He was always a joker! I wish the world had more people like him because laughter is an encouragement. Scot always brightened my day with his wit on how he viewed life. I am sad today for the loss of a good friend.
I have worked closely with Scot here at the Infirmary for many years. Scot and I are about the same age, and beyond work topics, we enjoyed many good conversation and stories, with many surrounding college-football. Though we followed different teams, we personally connected over very friendly football banter vs. the intense and adverse debates which sometimes can exist between Alabama/Auburn fans. I found Scot to be warm and friendly and always in an engaging mood. He was a good guy and a pleasure to work with. I am saddened by his passing and will miss him very much.
The Infirmary family will also miss him greatly. I think many Infirmary folks would agree that Scot brought us closer whenever we met as a group. I believe he had a personal/positive impact on us all. His relaxed personality and level-head was truly a calming force no matter the issues we faced.
This last week I found myself thinking about Scot continuously. They don’t make-em like him anymore. He was a genuine relic, and I mean that in the best possible sense. Here’s to you Scot….., at some point I hope to catch up with you and continue our friendship.
Dear sweet Scotty! You were always a special person to me! I remember the countless talks we had about our trials and tribulations, our loves and dislikes! You were a very special person to me over 45 years ago. Although my time in the Armour family was short you were my always constant cheerleader and I was yours! Sometimes it seemed that I was fighting an uphill battle. You were always there for me and I for you. I will always remember your sweet precious personality and bright smile. You were the little brother I never had but always wanted! I loved you then and I will love you still until we meet again. All my love and prayers for Jen and the entire family! May God send them the peace that only he can provide.

Scot was one of a kind — funny, kind-hearted, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a natural way of lighting up any room and making those around him smile. Working alongside him was a joy, and his presence will be profoundly missed.

Boring meetings at work seemed so much better when Scott was on the call. Nearly impossible requests from pharmacy seemed doable once Scott asked his clarifying questions. He was a wizard of data and spreadsheets! His greatest talent of all was crafting the Christmas season’s Crack Dip! He’d let us know when it was ready and we’d rush over to find it almost gone.

Seeing how many lives Scot touched, both at work and in his family, has brought me comfort during the hardest days of my life.
Scot had a pure heart, and it showed in every interaction he had with people. Reading your stories and kind words reminds me of the man I loved so deeply and helps me see him through your eyes as well.

Jen, my sis in love, my brother loved you beyond words. I will always pray for you, I will always be in your life and I will always love you. Scot was so loved by everyone and that makes this sissy heart so proud to have had him as my bubby.
