    Dear Jack, and Pat,

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family for your loss of David. I have many fond memories of David from years ago when our children used to be compadres, and basically terrorized the neighborhood in Lake Forest!

He was a good young man and his time on this Earth was way too short.

Thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

I was so blessed to have seen both of you last week and reconnect with a former kindergartener. David was very kind, polite, handsome and so passionate about his photography when we talked. Lifting you up in prayers and may God’s Grace continue to surround and comfort you Jack and your family.

David was one of my best friends in high school. He was one of the rare few who was. We were both artists and had a lot of art classes together. He always inspired me to push myself harder, and was always supportive of my work. He was truly a kind hearted person who only wanted to see others succeed. My heart goes out to his family and all of his closest friends. He will be sorely missed!

    Mr. Willoughby,
I cannot express the heartache I feel for you and your family over David’s passing. I have so many fond memories of David, to whom I owe so much, and of you and your home, always open and welcoming to me. My thoughts are on you and your family during this difficult time. David encouraged and inspired his peers, myself included, and for that he will be remembered with fondness and admiration. I hope there is some comfort for you in that knowledge.

David was a kind, sincere, quiet little boy in my first grade class. He had many friends and loved school. My prayers go out to his family for peace and God’s comfort at such a sad time. But, I know Carol is happy to wrap him in her loving arms once again. She loved her family so much. May you have wonderful memories of that sweet little boy who obviously grew up to be a great friend to many. You will be missed!

To the Willloughby family and friends of David, it was with great sadness that I also learned about David. He was one of my students at Daphne High School for yearbook/photography… he already then was full of talent and artistic flair! He was always around wonderful and kind young friends. I got to see him several times over the years at Panera and talk about his passion for photography and catching all things beautiful in this world. He will be missed by many people. What a kind gentleman he was. Best regards to the family and friends, “Ms. Monica”, Monica Sainz

I just don’t even know where to begin.. I remember meeting this beautiful soul when he was six. Dave always had a gentle and loving heart. He worried about others so much. Dave had a remarkable eye and talent, and he was a gift to this world. I’m so blessed to have been a part of this incredible mans life for so long. My prayers are with his family and all of those who loved him. I will always make sure his nephews and niece know what a special person their uncle was… Much love

Where do I even begin… I remember having so much fun with my uncle Dave every Time I saw him. When I was little he always would spend time with me and my siblings. He was a very great artist and he was very talented. I remember he could draw anything you asked him to. When I went to my granny’s house he always wanted draw pictures for me and carry me and my siblings on his shoulders. He was great with kids and was the most creative person I’ve ever known. He cared deeply for other people and had a big heart. I am happy to have an uncle who cared for his friends and family. I always will be proud to call him… My uncle Dave.

Dave was very creative. When I was little he use to come down with his dad and brother to visit us. All though I have not seen him since I was little,I still remember him very well. He was an amazing person and he was very very creative. I heard about this Monday and was sad and shocked. I pray for him and his family and hope they get through this hard time of their lives.
    R.i.p. Dave.
