Dillon Thomas Crum, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021, at the age of 30.
Dillon graduated from Daphne High School. He owned his own landscaping/pressure washing business. Dillon loved fishing and loved to collect guns, but his favorite thing was being a father to his precious daughter. She was his whole world, and he did EVERYTHING with her.
Dillon preceded in death by his grandparents, Rachel and Charles Shipman. He is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Suzanne Crum; his fiancée’, Kaysha Haygood; father, Darrell Crum; his mother, Suzanne Stewart (Marlin) and step-father, Jason Harrison; siblings, Chase Crum, Madison Stewart, Tyler Crum and Brianna Montgomery; grandparents, Durrell and Karen Crum, and Phillip and Linda Rickman; along with many other relatives and friends.
Dillon has come so far in his life to be taken from us so soon. Those of you who knew him, knew that from the time his little “princess” came into the world, Dillon became a “family first” kind of man. He brought a whole new meaning to “loving father”. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and playing with his precious little girl. No one could compare to his daughter and fiancée’.
Dillon was always caring for his terminally ill mother and helped her out in anyway possible. If Dillon was your friend, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for you. Dillon will be missed everyday by his friends and family. We thank God for giving us the 30 years we had with him before God decided to take him home. Dillon was recently saved and baptized at City Hope Church in Mobile, so we know we will rejoice with him again in Heaven where he will be waiting for our arrival. WE LOVE YOU DILLON!
A celebration for Dillon’s Life will be held at 7:00pm, Thursday evening, August 19, 2020 at Hughes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 for a time of visitation. *In keeping with every health precaution regarding Covid 19, Hughes Funeral Home will honor the request of the family and will require everyone to wear a mask and distance appropriately.*

Dillon you will truly be missed. I meet you about three years ago and you and Kaysha have truly been good friends. No matter when I called you came or Kaysha came. You loved your family dearly especially Brooklyn and you have truly gained your wings. Rest in peace my friend
When I was homeless,Dillon and Kaysha would come by the house I was squatting in and bring me a meal and make sure I had something to cook for my dinner. Make sure I had personal hygiene products ect. I will always have much love in my heart for that, they were some of the few who cared when hardly no one else did. Dillon is truly one of the best men I’ve ever known.
I know you are in heaven enjoying perfection, though our hearts will not fully heal. You were taken too soon. I’m so sorry to his family. Dillon was one of my friends and it hurts me deeply to know what happened and the scars his daughter carries. Though with god and time healing can begin. If there is anything Ashley or I can do let us know! God Bless
