Don Lee Castamore, a native of West Virginia and a resident of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the age of 84.
Don proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Project Engineer. He enjoyed running marathons, hiking and travelling.
Don is preceded in death by his mother, Elva Pauley and his father, Ernest Castamore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Sandy Castamore; two daughters, Cindy and Cheryl; one son, George; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; his identical twin brother, Dick Castamore; son-in-law, Chris High; sister-in-law, Wanda Castamore; nephew, Mark Castamore; and special friends, Pat and Eddie Lee and Hal and Gloria Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road, Daphne, AL, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12PM. Dr. Eric Hankins officiating. There will be a time of visitation before the service, beginning at 10AM.
Internment will take place at a later date at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.
