Donald Dixon, 67, of  Fairhope, AL, formerly of Bakersfield, CA and Brooklyn, NY. Our precious ‘Poppy’ was received to the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 1, 2013. He was retired from the city of New York Police Department and spent many years in the food and wine industry. He leaves to mourn his passing and rejoice in his reception,  wife, Ramona Dixon, his mom, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Dixon;  brother Robert Dixon;  sister, Chryl; sons,  Brett (Terri) Dixon, and Scott Dixon;  daughter,  Amy Jones Sharpe;  granddaughter, “his Peanut” Avery Dixon Jones;  nieces, Lynette Steinwald, Dakota and Aidan Dixon, Brooklyn Nib Dixon,  and a host of friends across the nation.  An angel on Earth, our lives, forever touched, never the same.
