Mr. Dorris Lee Salyers, 80, formerly of Gardendale, AL was called home to be with his Lord and Savior from home in Bay Minette on Saturday, January 14, 2012. Mr. Salyers was a Korean war veteran of the US Army and was a commercial fisherman for 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ossie Lee and Alice Mayfield Salyers. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Barbara Anne McSpadden Salyers; children, Jan (Jimmy) Orr, Terri Hendrickson and Mike (Deana) Salyers all of Bay Minette; Dawn (Andy) Miller of Donalsonville, GA; brother, John and nephews Mark and Bryan Salyers, and 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Bay Minette on a later date.
