Douglas Gene Winstead, 53, a resident of Daphne for the past 10 years, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012.

Doug was born in Gulfport, MS and was employed as an aircraft mechanic at ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was a huge fan of NASCAR.

Doug is survived by his wife, Rhonda Winstead; his sons, Robert (Sara) Winstead of Fort Carson, CO and Daniel (Brittany) Winstead of Meridian, MS.; a sister, Tammy (Matthew) Kohutek of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren, Alana, Breeana, Braiden, Alysa, Alana and Jocelyn. He has one step-daughter, Tanya Washburn of Olean, NY and many other relatives and friends.

A time to remember Doug and visit with the family will be held at Hughes Funeral Home on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 11am until 2 pm.
