Durwood “Buddy” “DW” Warrington Boswell, age 89, of Loxley, AL passed away on a beautiful Sunday afternoon surrounded by his wife, children and their spouses. He is survived by his wife, Jo Arras Boswell; his children and their spouses, Matt and Emily Boswell, Blake and Nicole Boswell, Matt and Casey (Boswell) Goldey; and his grandchildren, Asher, Sophie, Anna, Adelynn, Luke and Dylan.
Buddy grew up in Mobile, AL where he attended Murphy High School. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force as an Airman First Class. He then successfully transitioned into a career as a city Building Inspector and retired as the Chief Mechanical Inspector for the city of Mobile.
He then lived the remainder of his life in Loxley, AL where he enjoyed spending time with his family and cheering on his favorite sports teams, the Atlanta Braves and The University of Alabama. He loved western movies, sports, and Sunday drives. He also volunteered his time by serving as an elder in the Presbyterian church for many years. Buddy gave generously to those in need, loved with his whole heart, and made the people around him laugh with his witty humor. He lived a long life devoted to his family and the Lord.
Our family is grateful to know that he is finally at home with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Services will be held at Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 10AM. Please send any floral arrangements by this Friday to 6620 Spanish Fort Blvd, Spanish Fort, AL 36527.

Buddy was always smiling and happy – that’s how I’ll remember him. He loved his family so much and they loved him. I know he’s with God and I hope that brings his family peace. RIP Buddy.
