Edward Louis Elberg, age 94, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the Wm. F. Green State Veterans Home in Bay Minette, AL. He was a previous resident of Fairhope and a longtime resident of Arizona.

Mr. Elberg was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Marine Corps, and was near the place on Iowa Jima when the famous flag raising occured. He had worked as an engineer in the oil exploration industry.

Survivors include a son, Stan (Cathy) Elberg of Montrose, AL.

Burial will be at a later date in Arizona.
