ELEANOR EGE KORBE, 96, went to be with Jesus on June 5, 2020.
“Ellie” was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She retired from the Dept. of the Army at the Pentagon. Ellie was predeceased by “Andy”, her husband of 65 years. She is survived by her son, Mike (Donna); grandsons, Drew (Tonya) and Derek; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Hughes Funeral Home, 26209 Pollard Road Daphne, AL.

In my absolute earliest memories the Korbe family was there across the back fence. In the nearly seventy years since then, I’ve known very few folks as kind, generous, genteel, and downright decent as Ellie Korbe. The world was a better place with her in it. Michael, my oldest friend, you and your dear, dear mother are in my heart and my prayers.
