Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Elsie M. Grant announces her passing on July 12, 2022.  Elsie will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Harry C. Grant Jr of Fairhope, AL, as well as all her loving family.

Elsie graduated from Baldwin High School and attended trade school.  Among her many talents she raised ten children, and spent 30 years supporting a military husband, and retired after 18 years in communication services.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Elsie enjoyed dancing up a storm, movies and popcorn, bowling or playing cards with friends, attending football and baseball games, along with a passion for travel.

Elsie is preceded in death by her sons, Theodore C. (Peggy) Hustava, Jr. and Timothy M. Grant and Jeffrey L. Grant.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harry C. Grant Jr.; three daughters, Debra A. (Bud) Morris of Alabama, Gwen L. (Donald) Goldesberry of California, Tammy L. Hustava of Alabama; sons, Ricky W. Grant of Oklahoma, Robert P. (Lavon) Grant of California, Michael C. (Nancy) Grant of Alabama, and Clifford W. (Anna) Grant of California.  She was also a loving “Grommy” to 22 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hilda (Mike) Booze  Macosko of Pennsylvania  and Clair (Wendell) Narrod of Kentucky; along with other family members and friends.

A private family and friends service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org/en/about-us/contact-us/online-donations-assistance-form?form=FUNELYZXFBW

    Elsie was an amazing woman I dearly loved. I will remember all the fun times we had and the many trips we took and the marathon card games.

    We’re gonna miss your cards and that you never missed a holiday for all your grand and great-grand (even great,great grandchildren). You will be loved and missed. Tell my dad that I love and MISS him!!
